Smeding Diesel 2007.5-2018 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L Cummins S300 Turbo Kit
If you're reading this, your HE351VE has probably already let you down once. The factory VGT on the 6.7 Cummins is a good idea executed with sticky vanes — soot and carbon lock up the geometry, the actuator throws codes, and a reman just resets the clock on the same failure. This kit ends the cycle by replacing it with a fixed-geometry S300, which has no vanes to stick and no actuator to fail.
It's a complete swap, not just a turbo: S300 charger, T4 divided exhaust manifold, gaskets, mounting hardware, coolant plugs, and oil drain extension. Your factory intake, downpipe, and intercooler piping all stay put, so the install doesn't snowball into a parts-chasing project.
On sizing: the cast 62mm is the right call for a stock-fueled truck that tows — it spools close to factory and runs cooler doing it. Step into the billet SXE wheels (63mm through 72mm) as your fueling grows; a properly matched billet setup supports 650+ hp. The 72mm and 63mm SXE-R require the 360° thrust bearing upgrade. One thing to know going in: fixed-geometry means you give up the factory exhaust brake — if you grade-brake heavy loads regularly, factor that into your decision.
Assembled in Texas, high-speed balanced before it ships, and backed by Smeding's 1-year unlimited-mileage warranty.
